LS Swap in a Porsche 996? What does that sound like? Check it out below!
So let’s say for a minute you happen to buy a Porsche 911 from 1999-2003. These cars (other then the Turbo) are known to have an issue with something called an IMS Bearing. The gentleman in the video below blew his engine up after driving it all over the country show off his “cheap” Porsche.
So after the motor blew up at the track he decided it may be cheaper to put an LS motor in vs. a rebuilt Porsche motor. After many hours of work and thousands of dollars spent… we now see that it wasn’t as “plug-n-play” as he thought. In the end the Porsche purists have to be laughing at this guy for putting an Chevrolet LS motor in the car in the first place.
What do you think? We learned a bit from the video ourselves like it’s never as easy as they say on the website.
Take a look at the video below for yourself.
